So, since my beloved Santa Fe was stolen I have to start car shopping. Honestly, I would rather have my teeth drilled without novacaine than shop for a car.
I know two things: I'm not spending more than 12k and I want something sporty-looking.
I drive a 2000 Toyota Solara. It wasn't one of those on the "recall" list (which I think was ridiculous anyway).
It rides really nicely. My only complaint is that it's a 2-door. It's usually only me and my fiance riding in it, but when you add extra people, it's a little irritating.
Those are nice cars. I'm a GM retiree's child so those are what I drive. I think the only vehicles that have ever tempted me outside of that have been volvos, so I'm pretty happy.
I drive a 2006 Civic LX coupe; its essentially the same car you're looking at. I went from a 2000 Toyota Camry and adjusting to 2 doors is annoying. I'm a college student, I spend a lot of time on the road--I got my car in March 09 and have put almost 25K miles on it already (school is 300 miles from home and most of advanced civilization) and I like it for the most part.
It doesn't give me much trouble at all. Maintenance is a little more than expected though because it is considered a sports car (ceramic breaks, etc). I think that only matters to me because of my limited income.
Overall, I think its a good investment, but its not an adult car. If I could do it again I'd get an Accord sedan.
I had a Honda Civic Ex, bought it in 1999 straight off the showroom floor. That bad boy was great on gas mileage and heck, it was just GREAT! I didn't even take care of the car the way I really should have and I got 200K miles out of it! Drove it cross-country and back(through the Rocky Mountains twice!) with 130K miles sitting on it. That Honda was like..THAT's all you got for me, bring on some more! I just let my baby go in Jan. of this year. I had that car 10 years and was JUST starting to pump money into it. I went right back to the dealership...and bought another Honda Civic! When I met my husband, he used to call my car "Jap-Crap" after seeing what that Honda can do, he no longer says that. He wants a Honda Ridgeback. Why? Because his Ford is broke the heck down!!!
I drive a Hyundai Elantra. I got a really good deal on it AND it came with a 5 year warranty. The warranty was what I was looking for. I only put a few thousand down and walked away owing just under $10k. So, it was a good price, low monthly payment, and a great warranty. Exactly what I love in a car!
I;m late! I drive a Nissan Altima and love it. My parents are Toyota lovers and have been since 1978! Although my mom tried to give Ford a try in 1989 and the shit crapped out so she went back to Toyota!

I drive a Honda CRV. I love Hondas because they last a long time. My car is one of those old model 1999s and it is still going strong.

I had a 1998 Honda Civic hatchback, and that was one of the best cars that I have owned.
Although just having 2 doors with long legged teens at the time was a problem.

Get a used reliable sporty Mercedes Benz. There are some great deals at the dealer. The only draw back though is future maintenance.
That Sebring looks right! I would rather have my teeth pulled sans drugs than to car shop. I always feel like I am getting hustled. Always.
Good Luck shopping
I like the Honda.
Thanks for visiting on my SITS day! I have a Honda and love it. Hope you have a great week and happy car shopping!
