The one good thing about going back to work tomorrow after one of the best vacations ever is ... getting back to a sense of normalcy. I enjoyed waking up naturally every morning, meditating, eating a quiet breakfast and then planning my day. As much as I wish that was my normal, it just isn't. My plan is to incorporate some of my "vacation me" into my "normal me". I have to in order to maintain sane. I'll wake up a little earlier so I can get in my meditation time. I'll eat a quiet breakfast in my kitchen instead of eating an oatmeal bar at my desk. I'm telling you, the way you start your day impacts your mood for the remainder of the day.
I had the best time this past week. I finished three books (Women of Brewster Place, The Plural Thing and Running with Scissors), did a ton of writing, worked out and bought a car. Speaking of working out, I'm down another pound so I've decided to completely switch up my workout routine. Why? Because I don't ever want to be referred to as a "stick figure" again, that's why. So, I'm adding more weight training into my workout schedule. I won't be bulky but I will be toned and strong. And beautiful. Thin is okay, slim is okay, slender is even okay ... skinny sucks. Just my opinion.
So it's back to work. And counting down to my next vacation ... in about three months.
