The Beauty

I grew up in Connecticut. There is nothing more beautiful than Autumn in Connecticut. It's breathtaking.

I now live in Virginia. For the last seventeen years I have been complaining that Autumn doesn't even exist in Virginia. The leaves don't change. They just go from green to brown to dead and gone.

Then this year, it was as if God spoke to me and said, "If you would stop complaining and open your eyes you would see the beauty that is surrounding you! Look at what I have made for you!"

No more complaints. Just overwhelming gratitude.

Thank you.

I know what you mean. I grew up in upstate NY(outside of Buffalo)where I was able to see all four seasons but when I moved to Houston. Forget it! It was green and hot all the damn time. I saw it a tiny bit when I lived in DC but. I would always drive home in October to see the leaves change. I live in NYC now so I only have to drive about an hour outside the city to see the leaves. I never thought I'd care about them but it is nice to see.
