Not About Me

This morning something amazing happened.  A co-worker asked if she could come into my office and close the door.  The last time this happened I ended up getting into a heated argument and the other person stormed out of the room.  Today was different.  My co-worker sat down and asked if I would please pray for her.  She didn't tell me why, she just said that she was so upset she couldn't pray for herself.  I told her that I would be happy to.  We held hands and prayed and believed God for her peace and protection.  We talked for another 10 minutes or so and she went back to her office.  After about five minutes she came back into my office with a smile.  She told me that while we were praying the person who was vexing her spirit called and left her a voice mail saying how they were so convicted by their earlier conversation and she had to call and ask for forgiveness.

God does not play.

Has this ever happened to you?

There have been so many times that I've been praying over people and situations and God has just moved in ways just left everybody involved like :o . He works like that. He's a BIG God.

Yes it has. And I am thankful for it. I never take prayer lightly. Our prayers avail much. Period.

It is refreshing to hear your experience. When I think of the workplace, I think of the gossiping and backbiting (which I absolutely loathe). If we had more of what you experienced going on, the workplace would be a better place. Well for me, at least.

Great! That was so good of you to do for her. Prayer is good all the time.
