Listen, Process, Act

Thank you all so much for the prayers and positive thoughts.  Going into this interview I felt so confident because over the years I have learned how to master an interview.  As it turns out the job was commission-based sales – and I am not a salesman by any stretch of the imagination.  Here’s the blessing:  After listening to the interviewer, I could clearly process the information and immediately act accordingly.  For some of you, that may sound like an easy thing but it hasn’t always been that way for me.  I’m good at the listening part however, I would stumble with the processing and acting which would further delay any kind of progress that I might enjoy.  Today, I am already on to the next.  Yay me!

And …

Even though the day started out on a low note it certainly ended on a high one.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and went on another 1st date after work.  “After work” meaning a 10pm movie on a Monday night.  We met at 8:30 for a cocktail and an appetizer so we could talk beforehand.  It’s true when they say that all the magic happens outside of the comfort zone.  Why didn’t ya’ll tell me?  Anyway, I woke up with him on my mind and now I feel like a 14-year old girl … all giddy and whatnot.  He assures me that there is nothing wrong with that feeling and he feels the same way and it’s “fantastic”.

Clearly, he’s never been a 14-year old girl.
