Write the Vision

I woke up this morning feeling like I had been through the wringer.

The last 36 hours or so have been a whirlwind of thoughts and activity. I have a vision and when I grab hold of something it, in turn, grabs hold of me and wears me out. My intention was to get up this morning at 5:00 and hit the gym but when I opened my eyes I knew that the gym would have to wait until after work. My head was still spinning. My mind was still swirling with my vision.

The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:2,3: And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

I like that and I know that I have a problem with the waiting part, so isn’t it funny that when I got to work I read this:

Because such a high percentage of our time is spent in the pursuit of goals, we must find a way to enjoy the actual day-to-day, moment-to-moment process of life, instead of waiting for the destinations or end result. When this shift occurs, we will experience not only the satisfaction that comes from a goal successfully completed, but a thousand joys along the way.

So, as I work to birth this vision I will be careful to enjoy each day along the way. I will not get wrapped up in the stress of getting to a final product or the perceived completion date. I will write down the plan and then work that plan.

This is so true. As Homer said, “The journey’s the thing.”

This message has been given to me over and over again in the last couple of weeks.

Awesome! I find that being unctioned [by the Spirit] to pause or move can be very productive when in the midst of purpose.
