Thought for the Day

I will never be 25 again.

Thank God.

I was not the sharpest tool in the shed twenty years ago. Truthfully, I may not be a Rhodes scholar twenty years later but at least today, I know who I am. I know what I want and I have the tools and the focus to get it. Twenty years ago I was pregnant and just getting out of a marriage and I didn’t know what the hell to do. I didn’t know where my life was going. All I knew was that I had to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. And that’s what I did. I’m glad I went through it. I’m glad I’m where I’m at right now. Sometimes I think about my life as it is right now and I just … smile. I am exactly where I am supposed to be and my future is so bright. The future. Do you know that there was a time when I couldn’t even see a future beyond my kids graduating? Now all I see is future! I see me in my house on the beach.

I see me running my business.
I see me healthy and strong.
I see me traveling overseas.
I see it all.

And it looks pretty damned good.

I SO don't want to see those funky years again.

Here's to a BRIGHT future!

I absolutely loved my 20's! LOL! They didn't go exactly the way I planned but I wouldn't take them away for anything! But I must say I'm definitely a smarter chick now!

A virtual vision board. Funny I had this conversation with my college workstudy student today and set her up a blog to blog about her quest.

This is great. To know thyself is to love thyself. Lessons Learned is why we are better. It took your young experiences for you to know what you needed, wanted and how you were going to get it.

You're seeing with eyes of faith and hope, and know that you're worth this and more. Fantastic!
