What Makes Me Smile

I don't know what these flowers are but they show up in my front yard every year without warning and it makes me smile.

I tried to go to work today but I'm suffering with the worst headache I have ever had. Every time I move my head the pain is just crazy. I suffered with this all day Sunday and I don't know what it is. I hardly ever get sick and I almost never get headaches. I thought it was a white wine headache because sometimes I get those but they usually last for a couple of hours not a couple of days! Ugh. Anyway, I'm working from home today.

I at least got to take advantage of the beautiful day that we had on Saturday. After getting up and going to the gym I went to the matinee to see the the new TP movie and I really liked it. There were moments when I rolled my eyes, moments when I laughed out loud and moments when I cried. It was very good and I definitely recommend it.

After the movie I had brunch at this place. Very nice. Then I went to the bookstore to pick up a book that LadyLee recommended called Buying Time, and so far so good. I had to go to the seafood market to pick up some crabmeat for my seafood casserole. Then I came home and colored the gray out of my hair and did my nails. I spent the rest of the afternoon on my swing reading my book.

That's the kind of day that makes me smile.

Sounds like a good day! (Minus that headache bizness!)

Sounds like an adjustment back to meat. What did you eat, some chitlins or something crazy like that!??

You'll like that book. A great read. And I love those flowers!

do you suffer from allergies?

I hope the headache is better soon. I know we have high pollen counts this year cause of the ridiculous rain we got and are still getting. Then again it could be the meat, like Ladylee said.

I don't know what it is but I'm ready to go to the ER. I don't suffer from allergies and I'm leaning toward the transition back to meat as a possibility.

Oh, I hate that you had headaches. If you were here where you can see the pollen on everything I would suspect that. But I know when I hadn't eaten pork for 7 months & over did it for Thanksgiving...my stomach was a mess.

I hope you are feeling better!

The flowers look like Daffodils. If so, they are an annual plant that grows from bulbs. you will continue to see them every year unless you decide to dig them out.

After the blooms are done, you could seperate the bulbs and plant in other sections of your yard too.

Seeing them each year would make me smile too. What a special blessing.
