Meet Me on Monday

Welcome to Meet Me on Monday sponsored by Java.

This is a blog hop which gives each of us an opportunity to get to know each other a little better. So hop on over to Java's, get the questions, and post the answers on your blog. Here we go:

Questions:

1. Do you have a fireplace in your home?
2. Can you drive a stick shift?
3. How many computers are in your home?
4. Are your taxes done yet? Do you do them yourself?
5. What is your favorite meal of the day?

My Answers!

1. Do you have a fireplace in your home? I sure do. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I use it every winter. It doesn't produce any heat but I just love the look and feel of a good fire:

2. Can you drive a stick shift? No I cannot. It's a shame really. I'm in my late forties and I can't drive a car with a standard transmission. Most people my age learned on a stick. I remember once an ex-boyfriend tried to teach me and got so frustrated with me that he couldn't continue.

3. How many computers are in your home? Two. The family computer and my son's laptop.

4. Are your taxes done yet? Do you do them yourself? They are done and I do them myself. Usually, I file electronically and have a refund before the end of February. This year, since the tax laws changed I couldn't file until later and because of some system glitch, I had to file by mail. God only knows when I'll have my money!

5. What is my favorite meal of the day? Dinner. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same thing with no deviation but at dinner time I can get creative.

Congratulations for having your taxes done!! I am the ultimate procrastinator when it comes to taxes. I don't agree with them and I usually have to pay in - so I have been known to file them on April 15th. In the afternoon. Right before the post offices closes. Passive Resistance ;-)

I'm over 50 and can't drive a stick--and I don't sweat it. With 4 kids (of course they're all grown now), I figured I had enough to do while driving without worrying about what gear I was in!
