Keep on Running!

I bought some long-sleeved running gear this weekend. I got dressed for my run and I thought I looked really cute. I like looking like an athelete even though I don't always feel like one. Except for today ... I ran 5 miles baby! Seriously, this was the first time I ran that distance. It took me an hour but still ... 5 miles.

I've decided not to sign up for anymore races because I feel so defeated when I don't make the time that I expect to.

I'm still going to run for fitness and maybe sometime in the future I'll run another race. I'm actually feeling kind of motivated since I got through 5 miles today without dying.

We'll see.

Moving is living.. and the only one who should feel the satisfaction of enduring a run is self.

Keep the body fit, it leads to a much fitter train of thought as you continue on the path you choose to follow on the road we call 'Life'.

Get on living of get on dying. Either way, I doubt I could run 5 miles. I've walked it many times, just don't like the idea of running it.

Years ago when I lived in New Orleans I used to work with this guy named Kuumba. He actually ran 40 miles on his 40th birthday. He couldn't do it all at once, so he broke it up throughout that day. I was thoroughly impressed by that, just like I'm impressed by your 5 miles. Keep on running.
