The Recap

Here we are back from the weekend and I hope everyone had a good one. Mine was not bad. I got up and went to the gym on Saturday morning and I left feeling great. It's funny to me when I see people at the gym sitting on the equipment talking on the phone and not working out. I bet they brag all week about "going to the gym". Not me ... I work because my 44-year old body will be in a two-piece this summer. Count on it. I also went to a poetry reading on Saturday night. Actually, it was the last night of the Chesap.eake Po.et.ry Festival. Festival? Supposedly, they've been doing this thing for 17 years but this is the first that I had even heard of it. Where have I been? I had such a good time and I went to support a girl friend of mine and I wish I had prepared something to read myself. Maybe next time. No, defintely next time. It's funny how when you are involved with someone you tend to abandon your own interests and adopt theirs as your own. Weird. I went to church yesterday and had a good time, which is no surprise. I go to a great church. No holier-than-thou attidudes, no church hats and no BS. Just a place to praise God and hear the word. After church I went to S.ears to buy an electric weed wacker and I also wanted to buy a digital camera but the girl couldn't sell me one. She didn't know how to sell. I've never had a digital camera and I don't know anything about them and I needed to be sold. All she could do was show them to me so I left. What the heck is a mexa-pixel, anyway? It was a beautiful day but after the store I just came home and vegged out. I made ribs, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for dinner. And my butt will be in the gym this afternoon.

How was your weekend?

Yeah for you going to the gym on the weekend. I keep debating about joining one, but I don't want to waste my money if I'm unsure of whether I will stick with it. I think I'm going to try walking in the neighborhood first. I have only been to one poetry night and it was cool. I can't imagine getting up there myself though. Who am I kidding? I don't even write poetry.

I read your blog all the time. I just don't comment. The gym is a great thing I go 5-6 a week! I miss it when I don't go...lol! Don't buy your camera from Sears. Go to Best Buy,Target or even Walmart. They have people that will explain and sell you the camera! Also try the Canon Powershot it's compact and will fit into a clutch! It's only $150 and takes great pictures. I just upgraded and love it. I loved my old Canon but needed more megapixels...oh yeah you want one with at least 8 megapix!

I had a good weekend... Hung out with Nikki, and my best friend. Got a few things done around the house...

Go to Best Buy for your camera. I am on my second digital, and I love the Fuji cameras. I just bought a 8 megapixel for about 90 bucks... my film card holds 17,000 pics. It worked GREAT for the vacation pcitures.

Hurray for you and the gym. It's getting warm out, and I will be getting my walk-on!

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me!

I recently joined a gym and I love it. Sunday is the beginning of week 4 for me and I'm about to kick it up a notch from 3 days a week to 4. I feel great when I work out and I actually look forward to going. *gasp*

I'm in the market for a new camera too. I had a Kodak Easyshare but it conked out over the holidays. I think mega pixels have something to do with the clarity of the picture. Too few pixels and the image looks grainy. Let me know what you decide to buy.

And dinner sounds great, but where are the vegetables? Tsk tsk. LOL

I had a good weekend too. Friday went wig shopping, Saturday hung out with Dollface, Sunday church and a play later that evening. Speaking of ribs, LOL, I'm eating last nights leftovers which were tips from the local bbq joint, yummo!!!
