This morning I read Matthew 16-18 and I only have one thing to say: forgiveness.
In addition to my daily scripture reading I am also reading The Shack
I never read Christian fiction because they all seem to portray life as roses and sunshine. They are just too syrupy sweet for me. Not so, with The Shack. It's kinda gritty actually. I'm almost finished with it but while I'm reading it I keep asking myself the question: If I could sit down and have a face-to-face with God, what would I say?
I'm sure I'd ask him about the monkey wrenches...

The old monkey wrench. This falls right in line with something my pastor said. Sometimes we pray for God to take us out of our present conditions and we should be praying for him to come inside.
Matthew (and his book), being one of the 12 disciples, is a perfect choice to understand God's teachings.
Hosea is a good place to understand the forgiveness and love that God has for us.
Monkey wrenches serve to strengthen our faith. Well, they do if we handle them. I have isshas in that area. Same with forgiveness. Someday I hope I get it right...
I've heard so much about this book. Stay prayful.
The monkey wrenches are there for a few reasons and for some it may mean "this" and for others "that." Whatever it is, He allows it to happen.
The Shack is a beautiful thing! So truthful and brimming with wisdom. So I think anyway! ;)
