Warrior III

This is Warrior III or Virabhadrasana III (veer-ah-bah-DRAHS-anna) and its a balancing yoga pose which strengthens the ankles and legs, strengthens the shoulders and muscles of the back, tones the abdomen and improves balance and posture.

The idea is to get your body into a T-shape without falling.

This is one of the more challenging poses that I can actually do without any pain.

I'm hoping one day to master this one:

I couldn't imagine doing the first pose. I'd fall flat on my face! And the second one? Umm, wow. But you'll have it before end of summer.

I don't think I could physically ever do that last one, no matter who much I practiced- I have a very short torso and long legs, so even flexibility couldn't help me!
