How Do You Eat an Elephant, Part 2

First bite?

What am I talking about? I'm 11 years into this elephant. Eleven years! I'm overwhelmed and I shouldn't be. I also realize I'm being very vague but at this point I don't have any other choice. This whole thing reminds me of the story of Peter walking on water. After Jesus walked on the water he commanded Peter to get out of the boat and walk on the water as well. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus he accomplished what was thought to be the impossible. As soon as he began to pay attention to the storm and not Jesus he began to sink. (Matthew 14:29-33)

Sometimes I feel as though I'm about to sink.

That right there was a great analogy, Oldgirl. As long as we keep being concerned with our fears, cares, and worries... we're stifled in what we can do.

Eat that elephant, Ma! One bite at a time!

You know, you obviously aren't using that story...even though you are using the story.

You're letting other things distract you...when all you need to do is put those blinders on and look straight ahead at where you are trying to go.

I know...of all people, I know I never take my own advice...but I am starting to bring my eyes back up to the source of my strength.

"Keep your head up and you wont pass out" That is what they told me when I first got up after having a baby. Everywhere you go, there you are.
