Glad you asked. It is going surprisingly well. I am not having ridiculous cravings anymore and I haven’t deviated once. The purpose of the fast (for me) was all spiritual. There were specific things that I needed to bring to God and some things can only be achieved through prayer and fasting. So here I am. When I think about restricting my diet, (restrictions include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, bread and alcohol) I think that I’ll starve or get bored. Thankfully, I have done neither. There have been plenty of fruits, veggies and whole grains. I have gotten most of my recipes from www.ultimatedanielfast.com and it has been a fantastic resource. In addition to my jazzed up salads (with kalamata olives, dried cranberries and pine nuts) I’ve also had Mexican rice and beans
Wild rice and almond casserole. The recipe doesn’t call for it but I added Portobello mushroom
And tonight I’m making stuffed peppers
Except weight. This was unexpected and I’m feeling some kinda way about it. I’ve lost four pounds in the last 10 days. I was pretty content with my weight and losing pounds was not in the plan but it’s happening. I don’t think I’ll have an issue getting it back when it’s all said and done. **shrugs**

Good for you! Not as bad as you thought, hunh? I think the key is to amp your spiritual goals waaaay up. That seems to fill the hunger void, this nuturing and feeding of the spirit. I've gotten plenty of interesting personal internal issues cleared up as a result of fasting.
And you are jumping over into my territory with the stuffed peppers. YUM!!
I'm glad your fast is going so well! Fasting used to be really hard for me, but I think the commitment to the fast and spiritual growth have helped me a lot. Those bell peppers DO look good. :)
You're doing wonderful! Fasting is extremely hard for me. I think that's something I need to work on.
